Introduction : Answer these riddles
• I have a face but no eyes, hands but no arms.
• I sit in a corner while travelling around the world.
• I go up when rain comes down.
• I have a head and a tail but no body.

Guided Reading:
Teacher reads prose with correct stress, pauses and intonation. Students listen silently the first time. The
second time they repeat after the teacher. They study in small groups

TLM:
New words chart, video and images.
The Teacher’s activity:
Before explaining this story, the teacher also explains the new words with the help of chart. The teacher
explains the lesson in simple words through video. And actions.

The Student’s activity:
Choose a favourite part of the story and have students role-play it. Volunteer students to briefly explain the
content explained by the teacher in front of other students.

• Discuss the importance of the element of darkness and how it contributes to the story's overall

• Analyze the relationships between the characters, particularly Usha, Suresh, and Binya. How
